Hieroglyph (π“ŠΉπ“Œƒπ“ͺ) Dictionary: Part 2 - Names of the Netjeru

Set & Friends

 Netjeru π“ŠΉπ“ŠΉπ“ŠΉ

So here’s the next part of my notes on hieroglyphs, as it is now. These are the names of various Gods and Goddesses I have come across in my research. It’s been probably the most helpful to me in learning hieroglyphs, because the names are the most recognizable thing you see when looking at ancient papyri and steles. Also it makes it more convenient to grab the unicode hieroglyphs to copy and paste if I need to. Most of their names have several different spellings adopted over the 3,000+ years of ancient Egypt, I just picked the ones I liked best. Some Armenian and other “foreign” Gods and Goddesses are also included, obviously their spellings are approximations that I did mostly for practice.

A lot of these came from this website here, Sesh Kemet, which is a great resource on Egyptian polytheism.

Next part will be the dictionary itself. Here’s a link to the previous section.
